About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Software Engineer (Quality Engineering) in Enterprise Functions Technology's Quality Engineering Group. The mission of Quality Engineering (QE) team is to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by implementing and maintaining a robust framework for automated testing, continuous integration, and quality assurance practices across the development lifecycle. The team aims to proactively identify and resolve defects, ensuring that the organization delivers reliable, scalable, and secure solutions.The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and availability of our applications while also focusing on enterprise-wide technology initiatives geared towards improving the code quality of applications. This role will need a mix of operational as well as development mindset.In this role, you will:
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Monitor and maintain reliability, availability and performance of production systems
Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventive measures
Collaborate with dev teams to ensure that systems are designed with reliability and scalability in mind
Develop and implement automated testing frameworks for non-functional requirements, focusing on performance, security and scalability
Develop NFR automation scripts and bootstrap in development framework
Drive adoption of various enterprise tech initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency
Monitor key metrics and OKRs related to software quality, identify trends and areas of improvement
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the engineering teams
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment of SRE practices across the organization
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of coding experience in Angular
3+ years of coding experience in Java
3+ years of experience with Event Driven architecture leveraging Functions/Lambdas, Event Grid/SNS and ServiceBus/SQS
3+ years of experience developing applications in a CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
3+ years of experience with Observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Elastic, or Azure Monitor
2+ years of experience developing authorization & authentication components leveraging OAUTH / SAML
