Envision Your Experience

The Learning Architect for Spanish Literacy will apply content knowledge and instructional design principles to create K-6 digital instructional materials in Spanish for native speakers and for students in dual language classrooms. This position is NOT about creating materials for MS/HS Spanish foreign-language classes. Rather, it is focused on Spanish literacy in the elementary grades, either for native Spanish speakers or for non-native speakers learning Spanish. Experience teaching grades 3-5 Dual Language classes is strongly preferred.

  • Provide expertise and management for the creation of quality instructional components for Spanish-language digital products. Review the work of external vendors or independent contractors to ensure adherence to quality and to project specifications; provide feedback.
  • Analyze standards and other curriculum requirements to contribute to the development of blueprints, scope and sequences, and other project content-planning documents.
  • Follow guidance to implement instructional design in assisting with prototype creation. Ensure consistent application of instructional design to projects.
  • Write and edit educational materials (lessons, activities, assignments, assessment items, etc.) for assigned products and content areas.
  • Communicate and collaborate within and across functional teams, and with vendors and independent contractors, to manage projects and address challenges; serve as a project lead as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of project status and schedule and ensure pedagogical consistency across workstreams. Understand how decisions and changes impact other aspects of development. Set priorities to meet deadlines.

This is a regular, full-time position, based out of your home office.

Share Your Expertise

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor's degree in dual language education, bilingual education, or similar.
  • Experience teaching grades 3-5 Dual Language classes is strongly preferred.
  • 2 or more years classroom teaching in a dual language or bilingual classroom or in Spanish-language educational publishing, technology development, or instructional design.
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Spanish fluency required.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding time frames.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven,team-orientedenvironment.
