Apply Today!  Where You Will Work  Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.Morenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. Visit the Morenci town website (https://www.morencitown.com/dining)  to learn more.DescriptionUnder the direction of the Lead Lifeguard, teach swim lessons, lifeguard and perform public safety work in preventing injuries in the municipal pool facility.

Perform a variety of duties including constant observance of patrons, enforcement of safety rules and regulations, administration of first aid and/or artificial resuscitation and teaching swim lessons

Responsible for completion of pool deck work (i.e., cleaning decks, gutters, guardhouse, diving boards, vacuuming, etc.)

Assist in conducting special swimming activities

Handle all patron and pool problems in an efficient, timely and proper manner according to established procedures

Function as part of a crew within an emergency plan for the handling of accidents in pool areas

Perform other duties as required

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED Certifications

Preferred

High School diploma or GED

Three (3) months (one season) experience teaching swim lessons

Criteria/Conditions

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

What We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently  $15.00 - $19.00/hour. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.  What We Require  

Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam. 

Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing. 

Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
