POSITION SUMMARY:The Manager, Financial Support (Field) reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Support (Field) and is responsible for supporting the VP of Operations Effectiveness and Senior Finance leaders by working with field Finance and Operating functions to provide analytical, forecasting and financial improvement tracking information. The role is primarily responsible for review of aggregation of financial results, creating forecasts reflecting process and operating improvements, and leading profit and margin improvement analytical projects. This position plays a key role in identifying opportunities for gross margin expansion. The Manager, Financial Support (Field) provides our VP of Operations Effectiveness, Senior Vice President of Operations Effectiveness, Vice President Financial Support (Field) and Senior Vice President Finance Support (Field) with support for all facets of project improvement including risk identification, root cause analysis, and identification of opportunities for margin enhancement. This position will also engage with all levels of the organization ranging from local field managers to Executive Vice Presidents.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides support to VP of Operations Effectiveness and Senior Manager, Field Support (Field).

Performs financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning and interprets financial data.

Coordinates improvement plans for underperforming Lines of Business.

Tracks and reports on AOR action plan follow-up items and other correction action plans.

Identifies and implements process improvement plans arising from common Internal Audit findings.

Prepares supporting schedules and adhoc analysis.

Assists with the standardization of financial and statistical report distribution and identifies key metrics that should be measured and communicated at a consolidated level.

Assists with post-implementation reviews for acquisitions, municipal and other transactions requiring proformas.

Participates in the identification and facilitation of process improvements for the Business Unit Finance Manager.

Supports ongoing initiatives and helps develop metrics and tools to facilitate accountability.

Effectively communicates with internal and external customers including Senior Management and maintains confidentiality.

Manages multiple projects requiring finance knowledge and executes deadlines and work with minimal supervision.

Assists with other monthly and quarterly reporting requirements including support during the annual budget process.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Periodic travel is required for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar professional certification are recommended.

Experience conducting financial projects and statistical studies of a complex nature.

Field experience in the waste, manufacturing, or logistics industries recommended

Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills, including development and use of financial models, pivot tables, graphs, macros and complex formulas.

Extensive Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point, and Outlook skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
