This General Manufacturing Manager role supports the Northrop Grumman Armament System Gun programs.Specific responsibilities and desired experience include:
Effectively lead a diverse team of Assembly Technicians in a dynamic product production environment.
Set and promote high standards for quality and safety.
Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.
Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support the gun programs and achievement in key performance metrics
Drive Team technical excellence in Production.
Balance team workload and staffing requirements to meet current and future program needs.
Coach direct reports in the areas of career development, performance, and teamwork. Provide training and development opportunities. Provide continual feedback and hold quarterly connections.
Basic Qualifications
We are emphasizing skills for this role. Will consider 9+ years of experience in place of a degree with a High School Degree or equivalent. Position requires Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of experience; Master’s Degree + 3 years of experience; PhD + 0 years of experience.
Experience directly or indirectly managing people preferred.
Excellent communication skills – written and oral
Experience working in manufacturing environment
Ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvements
Basic understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Must be a US Citizen and able to acquire a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or above
Strong general knowledge in manufacturing methods and processes
Salary Range: $82,100 - $123,100The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
