SUMMARY:The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for operational process improvements throughout the facility.  This role provides an effective interface for the day-to-day manufacturing leadership and production teams to drive efficiency and ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.   This role takes the responsibility to supports the Value Stream by recommending and implementing methods for eliminating waste such as restructuring jobs, reorganizing workflow, reallocating tools/equipment.   In addition, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer aligns with the Windows Manufacturing leadership to effectively develop and improve existing equipment specifications, performance requirements, reduces machine downtime, and maintains/develops effective standard work.DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: Uses a logic flow to improve key manufacturing processes.Develops and recommends equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis and proposals utilizing an improved sequencing methodology that improves and drives effectiveness and efficiency.Monitor and evaluate production efficiencies including but not limited to: scrap generation, identifying ways to reduce scrap and ensuring product quality standards. Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components. Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.Managing, motivating subordinates to reach peak performance.In partnership with operational leaders, ensure project cost and schedule targets are achieved, managing the implementation of projects and lean initiatives with teams.Act as a change agent; drive change and influence others with implied authority within the organization to make sustainable and measurable process improvements.When needed, will lead project execution through completion with a hands-on attitude to drive the continuous improvement culture on the shop floor.#LI-JG1
