2+ years of recent medical assistant experience required
Family or internal medicine experience preferred
Ability to float between east valley offices required
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate required
High school diploma or GED required
Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant
Check patients in and out
Room patients and take vitals
Collect patient information and enter into EMR system
Prep patient for provider
Handle injections and blood draws
Answer phones
Schedule/reschedule appointments
Handle prescription refills, referrals and authorizations
