Job Title: Network Engineer – Cisco Network# Of openings: 1Start Date: ASAPDuration: 12 Months + ContractWork Status acceptable: / s / H1B’s (Must our w2 employee)Number and type of interviews: 2 video rounds Client's telecommunication networks are changing rapidly due to evolving business and customer needs. To meet these needs, legacy networks must be modernized for generation stations, substations, control centers and facilities. The responsibilities of the Contingent Worker will be to design Internet Protocol (IP) and Multi-Protocol Label Switching connectivity for operational technology (OT) electronic devices such as relays, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), meters and transformer monitors. Job Responsibilities:Performs IT work in Client's Telecom Network Engineering for OT electric and water grid devicesDesign IP/MPLS networks and understand the underlying technologies associated with themPrepare documentation such as network diagrams, internal process and procedure guidesPrepares and/or conducts written and oral reports and presentations to peers and managementIdentify trends and root causes of challenges, determines solutions, and makes recommendations for management considerationApplies Client and IT processes/methods, practices and techniques to deliver solutions for Client Telecommunication SystemsPerforms site visits with other Telecommunication Systems team members Additional Information:Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networksAble to thrive in a highly dynamic environmentUnderstands foundational cyber security principlesUnderstands the convergence of IT and OT technologies, jargon and personnelTeam player attitudeStrong interpersonal skillsWillingness to share information and experiencesBasic/Intermediate understanding of utility grids, including electric and water
