Our IT team has 4 different departments: Information Security, IT Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, and IT Commerce & Customer Engagement. Whether it's online or in our stores, the work that the IT team does is instrumental in PetSmart's success. About the LocationHybrid Position:This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the JobNetwork Operations Support Analyst IIThe Network Operations Support Analyst II provides monitoring, diagnostics, operational support, operational transition and level 2 escalation support of system technologies and tools that enable PetSmart's business strategies. The role will be accountable for partnering and working with cross functional teams to support and maintain network systems in support of people and processes for in-store, corporate and direct-to-consumer environments. This role will respond to and work incident/problem tickets in support of both critical and non-critical systems. The individual in this role will possess a high level of proficiency or expertise in one or more technical disciplines. The disciplines may include, but are not limited to, Cisco/Juniper/Arista routers and switches, F5 load balancers, Mist/Juniper wireless access points and cloud controllers, data center networking technologies, VPN networking technologies, security authentication technologies, and any of the various hardware and software technologies used in PetSmart's store and distribution center environments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Partners with Application Support teams for the support and maintenance of technical systems and services that enable PetSmart's stores, distribution centers and corporate strategies and processes. Collaborates with 3 rd Level Network Engineering team to maintain solutions that meet defined standards. Partners with various technical and departmental managers to ensure PetSmart's systems are up and operational, resulting in minimal outages and disruption to business systems.Documents new and legacy solutions/technologies in both written and visual formats. Makes regular, detailed updates to operational support knowledgebase and trains/mentors Operations associates.Provides level 2 support of solutions via standard escalation mechanisms such as trouble ticketing and emergency call-out. Network Operations Support Analyst II are also expected to participate in regular on-call rotations.Provides design, implementation, maintenance and support of processes and systems used with PetSmart's disaster recovery program. Works with DR coordinator to provide regular DR testing of new product solutions as well as, large scale, comprehensive DR testing for all enterprise network devices and systems, along with business applications and databases.Contributes to the development and implementation of infrastructure technologies and standards. Participates in infrastructure design and implementation to ensure technologies meet business/operational needs and is highly available, scalable, and manageable. Identifies, tests and champions new technologies for the purposes of operational efficiency and new standards definition.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:- Enterprise network infrastructure support & maintenance experience required.- Retail infrastructure support and maintenance experience preferred.- Excellent knowledge and experience with enterprise technologies including server hardware, operating systems, database, network, storage and virtualization tools required.- Solid knowledge and experience with retail and device technologies that support store and distribution center operations preferred.- Well developed understanding of application interactions and troubleshooting skills; the ability to reason and think in a linear, logical progression required.- Proven track record of successfully creating, implementing and improving IT operation controls preferred.- Strong background implementing enterprise systems monitoring and alerting preferred.- Excellent documentation (both written and visual) skills required.- Effective interpersonal skills: ability to communicate with customers, vendors, partners, and business managers across various levels of the organization preferred.- Ability to communicate difficult technical concepts clearly to a variety of individuals of varying technical expertise and understanding in a concise manner preferred.- Individuals must be proactive, highly organized and capable of self-directed work.- Network Operations Support Analyst II are expected to participate in a regular on-call rotation.CERTIFICATIONS:While not required, Cisco, Arista, F5, Juniper, Mist certifications are considered a plus.PREFERRED SKILLS:- Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise SAN and NAS storage technologies - Pure Storage, EMC Isilon and Brocade switching knowledge preferred.- Knowledge of retail and device technologies that support store and distribution center operations.- Knowledge of e-commerce and digital applications.- Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (ITIL, ISO, COBIT).EDUCATION:BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience to include troubleshooting, hardware/software diagnostics, system monitoring.
