Description The Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting the organization's payroll functions and ensuring accurate and timely payrolls. Applicants need to have an in-depth understanding of payroll procedures, legislations, and regulations to provide employees with a clear understanding of their pay structure and benefits. The role also requires the application of high-level analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues. The ideal candidate will handle confidential information discreetly and maintain employee confidence.Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire payroll function within the organization.

Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes compliant with federal and state payroll regulations.

Develop, implement, and manage payroll policies and procedures.

Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records of payroll transactions.

Liaise with human resources and finance departments to align and update records.

Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.

Ensure compliance with current government regulations.

Setting up new members of staff and processing one-off payments like bonuses or overtime.

Regularly review systems and processes, making necessary changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing required payroll records.

Provide training to other members of the payroll team and manage their performance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a senior payroll administrator or in a similar role.

Excellent knowledge of large payroll systems (ADP, SAP, COINS ERP) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & v-lookups)

Familiar with multi-location payroll and taxes.

Experience working with a large workforce is preferred.

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

Good communication skills both verbal and written.
