Description We are offering the role of a PC Technician in San Luis, Arizona. The primary function of this role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining computer hardware and software, and training personnel. This opportunity will allow you to apply your technical skills in a dynamic workplace environment.Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers Ensure functionality of the City's laptop and mobile computers, and provide user training as required Handle day-to-day computer software OS, printer support issues and application support issues Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot various software products, and interact with vendor technical support Track, monitor, and evaluate software patches, fixes, and service packs Manage vendor contracts for hardware maintenance and software applications Coordinate computer-based anti-virus software implementation, usage, and training, and perform random audits to ensure the software is up-to-date Monitor City compliance with software copyright laws, and perform random audits for compliance Train, advise, and assist personnel with technical problems related to computers, networks, wireless and technical systems, and associated software Review technical information about hardware, software, operating systems, and evaluate products for usefulness Install, configure, and troubleshoot certain network and client server connectivity hardware and software Maintain databases related to the tracking inventory of software and computer hardware, and authorize system access to users Coordinate and administer City telephone, equipment, and maintenance agreements Participate with other City departments and agencies on technology projects as required Install, maintain/repair, program and test Telecom equipment, surveillance equipment and antennas and peripherals Assemble and configure computers, monitors network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware. Requirements Proficiency in Dell Technologies is required for the role. Experience with EO/IR systems is essential. Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and services is necessary. Networking skills are crucial for this position. Familiarity with various Operating Systems is expected. Expertise in Active Directory is a key requirement. Proficiency in handling Computer Hardware is mandatory. Demonstrable skills in Configuration Management are needed. Experience in Deployments is a significant requirement. Ability to provide Deskside Support is necessary for the job.
