Sierra-Cedar is seeking bright and motivated PeopleSoft Administrators. Sierra-Cedar is a leading Oracle Systems Integrator in the marketplace with world class consulting services, managed services and technical services deployed across various commercial, higher education and public sector industries. We have an opening in our Managed Services Division for a PeopleSoft Administrator. This is a 100% telecommuting position and allows one to work from home full time. This position will also interact extensively with other internal teams such as Database, Network and Storage Administrators as well as our Cloud Services teams with a variety of tasks while maintaining and troubleshooting our internal cloud based PeopleSoft and associated 3rd party hosted systems.

This is a full time, permanent, telecommuting position working a 12pm-9pm EST shift. Must be located in the U.S.

Required Skills
  • Minimum five years experience supporting production environments and customers
  • Complete understanding of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) - specifically in an Oracle Linux and WebLogic hosting environment
  • Build, configure, administer and troubleshoot PeopleSoft application systems in a high availability, fast paced, multi-instance hosting environment
  • Perform complete installs of PeopleSoft 8.x and 9.x at all tiers
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for isolating technical problems in the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including Oracle databases, tuxedo application servers on Unix, process schedulers on both Unix and NT and WebLogic configuration
  • Analyze issues with application servers, process schedulers, web servers, Elasticsearch, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, Application Engine, SQRs, and PeopleCode
  • Debug and optimize SQL statements within PS Query, COBOL and Application Engine programs
  • Have in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft security components
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Search Framework (Elasticsearch)
  • Ability to work simultaneously across multiple clients with multiple versions of PeopleSoft applications and PeopleTools versions including older through the most current release
  • Work with Infrastructure team members (Network, NT and Unix Administrators) to build and deliver services in a stable, highly available and secure multi-instance hosting environment
  • Assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery and load balancing activities
  • Bachelor's degree required

    • Change management tools (Stat, Phire, CAPI)
    • External Payment Gateways (Cybersource, TouchNet, NelNet, etc)
    • UPK
    • Control M
    • Appworx
    • LDAP / LDAPS
    • UC4 or other external batch scheduling software
  • Integration with various Single Signon products such as OAM, Shibboleth, Okta, Ping Federate or other SSO configurations
  • Installation and administration of Apache web servers
  • Knowledge and ability to assist with mitigation of security vulnerabilities related to Java, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Apache and other software packages
  • Conceptual understanding of Oracle Database technologies:
    • Clusterware
    • Automated Storage Management
    • Real Application Clusters
    • Flash Recovery Area
    • DataGuard
    • Flashback
    • Recovery Manager
  • Assist Oracle DBA with back-ups, refreshes, performance tuning

  • Provide quality formal and informal documentation consistent with SCI Managed Services standards
  • Effective time management skills and ability to concentrate on tasks at hand

  • No relocation required, 100% telecommuting position
  • For non-Atlanta based applicants, a DSL or Cable modem is required for high speed access

Travel
  • Limited, based on client / CMS need (less than 15%), very infrequent
