Job Description: The performance testing engineer should work closely with the developmentteam to ensure Savvas applications perform well under load. He should be writing andexecuting Jmeter scripts, monitoring the performance of the load testing hardware under load,analyzing and reporting the results, and working with the right people to resolve issues. Theperformance testing engineer will also have to ensure the client-side performance is up to par ina variety of supported browsers so they should have a good understanding of technologies likeJavascript and Ajax, and be able to identify slow page elements. Performance engineer should ensure system reliability; capacity and scalability. Analyzetest results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes. Generate test summary reports for management review. Develop automated test scenarios and environments for performance testing. Publish and perform the Load/Stress tests and certify the release for variousperformance levels. Work closely with Principals and SQE to define performance requirements. Develop a test plan and strategy to test our applications at scale and ensure that oursystems perform under SLAs under stress. Innovate and create performance validation engines that can keep up with fast movingcode bases and cater to millions of educators and learners. Research and analyze issues in the Application /Services/DB layer and identifyperformance bottlenecks. Design and implement scalable performance tests that can guarantee applicationscalability, longevity and performance under stress. Review and analyze application, logs and usage data from Kibana,Datadog,GoogleAnalytics etc. Work with your development counterparts to review ongoing production usage andgrowth and incorporate findings to test scripts. Coordinate with Senior Developers,Required Skills: Strong practical experience with Jmeter or any performance testing tools like silkperformer/neoload/load runner required. Experience with tools and techniques for performance measurement, profiling, andoptimization. A deep understanding of performance testing methodologies for Web Applications. Good understanding of Java,web technology including HTTP headers, HTTP Verbs(post, get, etc). Very strong in design of test framework, load simulation model, load stats calculations Very strong in script Design/development using Jmeter (Web Protocol) and webServices(over HTTP and Reporting is a plus-point. Knowledge of any scripting language(preferably java script) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This individual will write client-facingreports and collaborate closely with development and shared services teams. An excellent understanding in troubleshooting best practices. When results are poor orerrors are encountered, this individual will need to proactively lead the charge on triagingand resolving issues, as well as ensuring proper communication takes place with theaffected teams. Excellent decision maker with strong performance architect level knowledge on bothtechnology and infrastructure Good experience in Cloud Good analytical skill on conducting detailed root cause analysis from E2E Applicationlayers and components perspective. Need to have experience in Appdynamics,Wily orany monitoring tools. Must have experience in load testing in Cloud machines Experience in any of the APM tools like datadog,Newrelic,Appdynamics,AWS (amazoncloud) is a plus
