Personal Assistant/Cook

Seeking a bright and highly motivated Personal Assistant/Cook to work with our team on a part time basis Monday through Friday 12:30 to 4:30. I am a semi-retired professional senior woman. You will need to have a strong memory to compensate for my lack of same and be good at note taking. Sense of humor will be gratefully appreciated.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent organizational and communication skills and a passion for culinary arts and caregiving and awareness.

Responsibilities

Cooking: Prepare daily meals according to vegan (with some fish and dairy) and gluten and sugar-free guidelines. Must be able to follow portions sizes and dinner recipes exactly and monitor all food labels diligently when food shopping. Assist with Menu planning. Your creativity will be appreciated for meals where I don’t have recipes. Must be comfortable using food scale, measuring cups and spoons.

Personal Assistance: Help manage both personal and business-related tasks, including prioritizing daily activities, organizing schedules and maintaining records. Support with transportation to medical appointments locally and in Scottsdale and note taking during those visits. Find fun things to do out of town. Find repair people and landscapers and supervise and manage their work.

Caregiving: Assist with daily living activities such as medication management, laundry and supervising bathing. Support my exercise routine and design fun adventures for us. If you would like to hike with me that's a plus. Join our team in 5 minute mindfulness/consciousness work breaks throughout the day. Maintain a positive and supportive environment in my home. Feed my wild birds and water plants.

Errands and Shopping: food shopping, post office, Water Works, Cottonwood,

Flagstaff.

Skills

Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a structured environment

Conscientious care for kitchen equipment and putting things back where found.

Adhere to strict dietary, food handling and safety procedures

Ability to think independently and problem solve.

Requirements

You must be physically and mentally in good health and live within 30 minutes of Sedona. Finding housing in the Sedona area is too challenging so unfortunately we can only read resumes of local residents.

College degree preferred, or comparable thinking skills.

Car in good condition

Functioning computer: curiosity about ChatGPT is a plus!

Quick learner

Must already have a residence within 30 minutes’ drive to Sedona if you wish to discuss the position or have an interview. Unfortunately housing in Sedona is verrrry hard to find.
