Job Title: Pharmacist Description:The Pharmacist will supervise pharmacy technicians and all other pharmacy staff in preparing and dispensing pharmaceuticals in accordance with State and federal laws and company policies. In closed door pharmacy environment. Seeking someone who is looking for great opportunity to grow within a company long term.Must Have:

Doctorate in Pharmacy

AZ Pharmacist License

At least one year of experience in long-term care preferred

Schedule(s):3 shifts available

3pm - 11:30pm - Wednesday - Saturday (x1)

5pm - 1:30am - Friday - Tuesday (x1)

11pm - 7:30am - Thursday - Monday (x1)

Responsibilities:Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administrationMakes recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff as appropriateMaintains patient/resident database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over-the-counter and home remedies)Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare teamCollaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as neededDocuments all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients/residents and their family members in the medical recordImplements policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as disposal of drugsObtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and policyInforms the Pharmacy Manager of medication related errorsAssists facility/agency staff personnel with procedures relating to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering and disposing of drugsExperience Level:Intermediate LevelFor immediate consideration, email your resume to gshope@actalentservices. com About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
