Apply today!We are currently looking for a full-time Fulfillment Center and Home Delivery Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Banner Pharmacy Services. This role is located in Chandler, AZ. Our Fulfillment Center and Home Delivery Retail Pharmacy Technician will be filling medication, packing medication to ship out to the patients, shipping, replenishing, as well as working with automated dispensing machinery. Our technicians are also responsible for cycle counts, short dates and stock rotation as well as receiving medications.Our full-time Fulfillment Center and Home Delivery Retail Pharmacy Technician work 40 hours per week on day shift. Our day shift is from 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or major Holidays required in this role. Your pay and benefits are important components of your journey at Banner Health. Clinical Pharmacy Services provides collaborative drug therapy management and educational interventions in patient care to optimize medication therapy, improve outcomes, promote wellness, and disease prevention.POSITION SUMMARYThis position will prepare, dispense, and compound medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Provide prescription support services for patients to ensure safe, appropriate, effective and efficient delivery of medication therapy. Provide excellent customer service skills, high attention to detail, strong problem solving, documentation and computer skills. Work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support pharmaceutical care activities, complete pharmacy billing activities, record keeping, reporting, inventory management, and arrange appropriate medication delivery.CORE FUNCTIONSUnder the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions and input into the computer for verification by the pharmacist. Communicate with patients and initiate problem resolution on payer issues.

Prepare, dispense, and compound appropriate amount of medication under supervision of a pharmacist. Deliver medications accurately to the patient.

Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and communicate with patients in waiting area.

Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with any other administrative duties as assigned by supervising pharmacists or senior technicians.

Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and/or may be in training for a technical/trades careerLicensed and registered pharmacy technician in the state of practice, where applicable.Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant work experience. Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required. Strong customer service focus, superior problem-solving abilities. Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required.BSS Registry Team members and Travelers are not eligible to drive on behalf of Banner and are not required to possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociates or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Proficiency and experience with third party claims adjudication and claims rejection reconciliation preferred. Proficiency and experience with non-sterile, sterile and hazardous drug compounding preferred. Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred.
