We have an opening for a Product Owner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be located in Dulles, VA, Gilbert, AZ or can be worked remotely. What You'll get to Do: In this role you will serve as the Product Owner for an Agile Scrum Team. You will be responsible for driving value delivery for a ground control software solution for satellite systems and perform the following tasks:- Specify stakeholder needs to drive the frequent delivery of value to the customer
- Coordinate and prioritize the needs for multiple stakeholders across multiple products
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Work with the stakeholders to plan and execute product releases
- Decompose stakeholders' needs to create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog; support all aspects of backlog refinement and story mapping
- Support preparation and presentation of briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders
- Support the accomplishment of Earned Value (EV) Management for multiple customers, by working closely with the Cost Account Managers (CAMs) providing the supporting information to assess EV performance
- Drive performance of the Agile team to accomplish sprint and release commitments, escalate and remove impediments; and participate in status and progress reporting to senior management
- Engage in Program Increment (PI) Planning Activities; ensure PI objectives reflect customer priorities and business value; identify risks and dependencies for the Scrum Team and across the program
- Support staffing activities such as on-ramping, interviewing, assignments, and evaluations
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
- Bachelor's in a STEM field (ideally computer science) with 2 years of experience, or a Masters, or a PhD
- Experience in an Agile Development Environment
- Experience with Space or Satellite Systems and Concepts.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's in a STEM field (ideally computer science) with 5 years of experience, or a Masters with 3 years of experience, or a PhD
- Experience in an Agile Development Environment
- Experience with Space or Satellite Systems and Concepts.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance
- SAFe and/or Product Owner certifications
- Experience in a DevSecOps Environment
- Scaled Agile Framework experience; working as a part of an Agile Development (Scrum) Team
- Experience with Atlassian Tool suite
- Direct experience with satellite ground systems
- Direct experience with satellite command and control systems
- Detailed understanding of satellite communication, maneuvering, orbital regimes, health and status, or other satellite system concepts
