Envision Your Experience

The Product Manager, Platform works with internal and external stakeholders to manage assigned platform domain and initiative roadmaps, owns related software requirements, and collaborates with teams and team members to ensure successful product delivery.

This is a regular, full-time position, based out of your home office. You can also expect to travel up to 10%, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Share Your Expertise

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Own and product manage one or more assigned platform domains and initiatives.
  • Facilitate internal and external stakeholders during identification, prioritization, definition, and approval of roadmap items for assigned platform domains and initiatives.
  • Work closely with members of vertical product management, technical, user experience, content, services, and other domain expert teams on definition, design, review, and approval of the software requirements for assigned platform domains and initiatives. Act as a formal owner of those requirements.
  • Support the work of the teams and team members involved in delivering platform capabilities during all phases of development.
  • Participate in the definition of testing plans and acceptance testing for assigned platform requirements.
  • Support release activities and subsequent support and maintenance work needed to ensure success of delivered platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers and technical leads on definition, requirements, and delivery of any dependent software or content capabilities.
  • Follow department product management and other larger organization established practices related to product management responsibilities, activities, and tooling.
  • Continually solicit, gather, and act on feedback received from stakeholders and team members to improve product management processes and the work of the teams involved in assigned domains and initiatives.
  • When appropriate and possible, contribute to the larger product management organization work and cadence by taking on additional projects and responsibilities beyond assigned domains and initiatives.
  • Build and continually improve productive and professional working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and team members.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and 3 years of experience in product or project management in an education-related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Track record of successfully working with onshore, nearshore, and/or offshore software teams and delivering software capabilities, ideally in educational technology and products space.
  • Passion for improving education with the use of education technology, content, and services.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time to meet with stakeholders, teams, and users.
