The role includes resource allocation, tracking project plans and timelines, preparing environment strategy for development & testing, risk and issue management, status reporting and design of and transition to a steady-state agile support model.Collaborate with a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, vendors, etc. to effectively deliver projects/initiatives. This requires the capability to work in large cross-functional teams and may include establishing vendor relationships, if vendor selection is a component of the project. It also requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with core/digital banking platforms such as signature/Miser/Digital Insights /Q2 a major plusFamiliarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and able to apply them where best suited is a must- In an Agile environment,
- Should be able to perform the functions of an Agile Scrum Master; run the software development planning and delivery process
- Providing servant leadership and building multiple high-performing Agile teams
- Look for ways to strengthen teams understanding of Agile / Scrum concepts and principles
- Ensure Scrum practices are used and improved within and across teams
- Leads Increment and sprint planning sessions and documents resulting story boards
- Facilitates the daily scrum meeting and supports delivery teams (pods) in execution of scrum methodology
- Responsible for maintenance and tracking of sprint backlog and prioritization
- Documents and leads remediation / removal of blockers during sprints
- Collaborates with the Agile coach to maintain accountability and compliance with the defined Agile delivery methodology
- Ensures that teams actions are aligned with Epics, Features and Stories
- In a waterfall/iterative environment
- Lead and manage multiple projects of varying complexity for the Client Servicing organization within SVB
- Responsible for managing a project from business case formation through to production implementation. This includes scoping, planning, executing, resourcing, and monitoring assigned project(s) to keep on schedule and on budget
- Plan and maintain project financial data monthly and well versed on Cost benefit analysis and ROIs
- Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets, and measures of success. Analyze project risks, issues, costs, and benefits and make relevant recommendations to leadership. Provide and implement action plans to mitigate risk when applicable
- Develop strong partnership and collaborate with business partners and teams to ensure successful delivery of projects
- Develop detailed project plans to manage the end-to-end project activities, interdependencies, and execution approach
- Bring transparency to Business and IT organization about development and grow trust
- Identify trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and biz stakeholder
- Foster a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect & adapt
- Leverages Jira and Confluence to elicit and define business and technical requirements, track requirements, prioritize features, curate content, sequence deliverables into sprints, and report progress
- Act as the first point of escalation for the team
- Responsible to Monitor, Measure, & Report Progress of the team
- Ensure good relationship within the team as well as others outside the team
- Builds and coaches high performing teams.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor all roles on a team
- Inspire people to deliver key results, demonstrate the passion for the business
- Adapt current methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
- Use considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems
- 10+ Years of IT project management or program management experience in financial services (preferably banking) required
- Experience leading complex and/or client-facing projects required
- Experience implementing or integrating digital banking systems, Digital Insights and Q2 preferred
- MBA or master's degree preferred
- PMI or other project management certification strongly preferred
