Job Description: Our team is looking for a passionate Project Manager who is highly skilled and deeply engaging. This person drives successful project execution and provides superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Along with the help of a dynamic team, this Project Manager enables us to launch and maintain a multi-agency initiative called Business One Stop. The purpose of this initiative is to establish a new portal that provides a single online location to help citizens & businesses plan, start, grow, move, & close businesses in Arizona. JOB DUTIES: Perform full system life cycle project management and implementation for a transformational project requiring solid project management skills. Guide the project through all phases including initiating, planning, executing, closing, and monitoring. Engage with internal and external leaders to define schedules and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain a realistic schedule. Influence multiple agency and division teams to identify, analyze and document business processes throughout all stages of the project. And, continually engage with teams to deeply understand impediments to progress and potential solutions. Understand and communicate project scope, goals and deliverables. Develop project documentation including business cases, plans, status reports, etc. All documentation should be detailed and clear allowing for consumption across a wide audience. Create and maintain template documents to assure thorough project management documentation and contribute to project success and lessons learned. Drive project completeness by assisting in the documentation of small and large project tasks, scheduling meetings, providing meeting minutes/recaps, and tracking tasks to completion. Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills that allow for effective reporting across multiple divisions and levels of leadership. Use project management tools to monitor and report on project results, risks, and countermeasures. Proactively identify, document, mitigate and report project issues, risks, and changes with varying levels of detail to a range of stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to understand and report on the project budget, including monitoring the actual spend as compared to the planned budget. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders that allows for transparent and clear communication. Assist in resolution of conflicts, as the need arises. Drive project scope and timeline in a direct but respectful manner that allows for collaboration and thoughtful interaction. The Project Manager will report to the Business One Stop Program Manager and serve as a connection between Project Managers at other agencies involved in the initiative. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Knowledge of: IT project management methodologies (Agile) Power user of project management tools and systems (particular knowledge of how to use and maintain Smartsheets and JIRA are beneficial) Skill in: Strong customer service Experience with SDLC, .Net, Rest API, web development background Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication Strong planning and organizational skills Ability to: Understand needs and effectively build solutions Work effectively in a matrix management organization Lead teams as well as work as an effective member of multiple teams Analyze, understand and document complex business processes Act as a problem solver Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization Complete work in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Make and document effective decisions Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S): Bachelor's degree plus 4 or more years of experience in software development or related IT project coordination and management (or equivalent experience). Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are nice
