We adhere to the coordinated specialty care (SCS) model. Our services include psychotherapy (individual, family and group), family education and support, case management, psychiatry, work and education support, sleep interventions and cognitive remediation. Founded in 2010 we are the first episode psychosis (FEP) program in Arizona and the only 5-year FEP in the country. We offer in person and telehealth services. We complete 25 to 30 intakes per year and have an average census of 100 members.This is a 20 hours a week position, where the psychology technician will be scheduled to work Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 7:00pm & Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm.Psychology technicians fully participate in all aspects of epicenter mission: Direct services to members, crisis intervention, and consultation with other providers, community outreach, case management, and team collaboration. Our practice values and encourages the three-part mission of academic medicine: research, teaching and excellent patient care.POSITION SUMMARYThis position works as a health-care professional assisting Psychologists and other mental health practitioners with patients under their care. Their duties involve direct patient care and assessment to help evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals who need mental-health treatment.CORE FUNCTIONSProvide direct patient care, including assessment and intervention services, in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or other mental health practitioner that retains primary responsibility for patient care.

Evaluation services may include intake/diagnostic clinical interviews, standardized administration and scoring of psychological/neuropsychological tests, preliminary diagnostic impressions, feedback/psychoeducation, and timely documentation of assessment results.

Intervention services may include individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, consultation, psychoeducation, and timely documentation of clinical encounters.

Non-clinical duties include attending required supervision, case conference, didactics, and scholarly activities as determined by the licensed supervisor.

Adherence to the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct, as well as University of Arizona, Banner Healthcare, and Department of Psychiatry policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be currently be enrolled in a Psy.D. or Ph.D. program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or School of Psychology, have completed one or more years of graduate work in a clinical or counseling psychology program.Additional or alternative qualifications and experience (for example, enrollment in a Behavioral Analysis or Special Education program) may be required for specific clinical placements as determined by the clinical supervisor.Employees working at BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional related education and/or experience preferred.EOE/Female/Minority/Disability/Veterans
