The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement and inventory processes within a laboratory environment. This role ensures that all necessary supplies, reagents, equipment, and materials are available in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage vendor relationships, order processing, and collaborate with laboratory staff.Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Manage inventory, stock control, and purchase order processing to support daily laboratory operations.Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records in compliance with company policies.Implement and monitor inventory control systems and establish appropriate reorder points.Solicit quotations and procure laboratory materials, operational supplies, and equipment.Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming reagents and supplies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular weekly and cycle counts.Ensure inventory practices adhere to all applicable safety regulations and laboratory standards.Review and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring ongoing compliance with updates.Demonstrate high integrity and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities to support budgetary goals.Assist the Finance Manager with basic accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Perform additional administrative or operational duties as needed to support laboratory functions.Uphold the expectations of Eurofins CellTx’s quality management system, including adherence to SOPs, good documentation practices, proper training, and accurate recordkeeping to meet quality objectives.Physical and mental requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, follow safety protocols, and perform duties in a laboratory or warehouse setting.
