State Farm is looking for a Lead Technical Architect to Join our Eclipse Product Team. Eclipse is a full-featured, cloud-based software-as-a-service product that's designed for data operators throughout the State Farm technical and business community. It is single-handedly changing the way we share and use our data here at State Farm by providing a streamlined and intuitive solution to find, request, approve, and appropriately use/build enterprise data assets.

The Eclipse product Lead Technical Architect will be accountable for driving horizontal design across multiple delivery teams (inside the product) as well as key integrations with supplying technologies and tools across the Enterprise Technology department (both CX and Infrastructure divisions). Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical architecture for a complex project
  • Identifying integration patterns and points between design areas across the stack (UI, security, database, etc.)
  • Making authoritative recommendations for technical issues, standards, and strategies
  • Providing leadership to Proofs of Concept (POCs) in partnership with engineering teams to solve business problems
  • Exhibits a breadth of experience across and depth of knowledge in multiple technology domains (App, Data, and Infrastructure)
  • Ensures adoption of all architectural principles, policies, and standards in collaboration with business and State Farm engineering teams
  • Applies knowledge of scalable and resilient architecture patterns and work across areas ensuring solutions align to develop a strategic roadmap in alignments with business outcome

Qualifications

The product team is looking for a proven technical thought leader to drive the product level architecture and design within the Eclipse Studio in partnership with technology leaders in both the delivery and engineering space.

Ideal candidates will have:
  • 10+ years architecting/designing software solutions
  • a strong technical understanding and experience designing solutions on AWS (with a proven track record considering application, data, and infrastructure)
  • the ability to participate as an individual contributor on technical proof of concept evaluations at a product level
  • the ability to be a model for the growth mindset

Compensation Range: $104,730 - $194,700
