Description of Position:You will be an integral member of the project team, collaborating on diverse project types associated with the delivery of healthcare, mission-critical, science & technology, and education programs.The ideal person for this job is technically proficient, has actual project experience with Revit, and is familiar with the healthcare construction industry. Knowledgeable in materials and methods of construction, and familiar with building types associated with healthcare architecture. Experience familiarity with formatting Revit-based construction documents and has excellent organizational and communications skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, is self-motivated and enjoys working closely with field foremen, designers, architects, and project managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to read and review construction documents.
  • Modeling in Revit from conceptual design to detailed model, coordinate BIMs, and facilitating collaboration and communication with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade contractors to co-generate models for use by the preconstruction team, estimating department, and operations team.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control checks on BIM models.
  • Perform clash detection in a proactive manner to ensure documents and Revit Models are coordinated.
  • Model clean-up and detailing to reflect as-built conditions for construction purposes.
  • To Coordinate the model with the design team and subcontractor.
  • Generate supplemental field construction documents for superintendents, project managers, and foremen to improve field performance.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with VDC Director and provide technical expertise to project design team members.
  • Walk job site to collect as-built information to integrate with BIM models.

Essential Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of Dimensional Detailing practices in Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Proficient Revit & Navisworks Skills.
  • Proficient in Linking in Coordination Models/ Point Cloud Scans, and CAD backgrounds.
  • Proficient in customizing Revit Project Browser, View Templates, View Range, & Visibility Graphic Overrides.
  • Understands how to navigate and work in a Central Model Work shared project environment.
  • Understands the collaborative nature of Autodesk Docs and BIM 360 & Collaborate Pro, IPD Project Types (Integrated Project Delivery).
  • Familiarity with Revit Family customization

Required Job Skills:
  • Electrical and general construction background/experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience required.
  • High level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work efficiently with strong personal management and organizational skills.
  • Open-minded and passionate about seeking out new opportunities to contribute.
  • Ability to innovate and find new opportunities to push the envelope for best VDC/BIM practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to overcome quickly and effectively unforeseen challenges.
