Job Title: Safety SpecialistJob DescriptionMain Responsibilities:

Conduct project and office safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up activities.

Implement and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs based on federal and state safety regulations in collaboration with other Safety Specialists and the broader company safety team.

Collaborate with the broader team to create, implement, and track company and project site safety documentation, practices, and policies.

Establish a safety culture through safety training, risk assessments, and compliance programs.

Monitor and improve the Company Safety Program in collaboration with the team and external safety partners.

Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.

Send out weekly maps of subcontractors at the plant.

Document progress in daily reports and conduct toolbox meetings for site staff.

Provide site orientations to new workers/visitors and educate workers on safety standards and best practices.

Assist with managing the AOV program, including the implementation of corrective actions and follow-up.

Initiate and lead accident investigation processes, including communication with appropriate stakeholders and investigation activities.

Monitor and analyze safety trends and regulations to implement programs designed to improve company results.

Job duties will vary depending on projects, related both to project sites and safety program requirements.
