The Security Engineer is responsible to ensure the integrity of Information Systems Assets and to protect systems from unauthorized access or destruction. They will Detect, Respond, Mitigate, Report, Recover, Remediate, and capture Lessons Learned.Will be working in a Hybrid environment - coming onsite 2/3 days a week.

Essential Duties:
  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and organizational data;
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Design cyber security processes including but not limited to, Incident Response and eradication
  • Conduct assessments of threats and vulnerabilities, assess the level of risk, and develop and/or recommend and operationalize appropriate mitigation and remediation countermeasures
  • Work with business owners to build security features into the infrastructure, product and corporate environment
  • Design, build and deploy security perimeter defenses and countermeasures for all Shamrock environments
  • Responsibilities will continually expand as the number and type of cyberattacks increase and change
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or Information Technology Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in role and or 6 years’ experience in industry
  • Certifications in Information Security and IT disciplines such as MCSE, RHCE, CISSP, CEH, Security+, or comparable work experience a plus.
  • Experience with system communications protocols like (TCP/IP, UDP, IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and inspectors
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exercise appropriate judgment
  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.
