As a key member of Sonora Quest Laboratories' Technology Infrastructure & Network Services team you'll be responsible for the configuration, administration, and disaster recovery of our Microsoft Azure environment. Our team is responsible for driving scalable architecture, minimizing risks, and providing visibility across a multitude of environments while using lean principles at scale in a fast-paced environment and this is your opportunity to help drive significant change in a rapidly evolving organization.

What you'll be doing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Azure providing technical expertise to both technical and non-technical business partners.
  • Performing administrative tasks including implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and documentation of Azure environments.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications; establish and define details, definitions, and requirements of applications, components, and enhancements.
  • Completing service requests or incidents tickets in support of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Developing scripts to gain efficiencies for reporting and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Participating in the on-call support rotation, responding to support calls both during and after business hours/weekends/holidays/shutdowns.
  • Providing technical leadership and assume overall accountability for the successful management and implementation of customer projects.
  • Working in a self-organizing team environment where you determine your tasks in coordination with your teammates and project manager.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a highly seasoned expert and demonstrates technical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and communications processes by supporting system defined objectives relative to the company's business and healthcare requirements. Leads the team on medium to large projects and plans, designs, implements and supports all required company Information Technology infrastructure, networks, hardware and clinical applications. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS1. Provides expertise in maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting technical systems, servers and applications that are associated with providing critical patient care.

2. Leads, plans, prioritizes and coordinates scheduled projects that require interaction between various customer, departments and hardware/software vendors. Develops well defined project plans, work schedules and critical path timelines.

3. Works both professionally and competently as a team project leader of the Enterprise Infrastructure team. Promotes teamwork by involving others and encourages them to contribute their strengths to the team.

4. Compiles professional, well thought-out designs to very complex technical process for presentation to senior level management. Assists the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager/Director with planning for growth, budgeting for new hardware, software, capacity, and scalability to ensure the organization's growth needs are met.

5. Responsible for providing technical expertise and resolution to complex and multifaceted problems for customers residing in a variety of departments.

6. Leads or participates in feasibility studies and provides input and works closely and collaboratively with the IT Infrastructure architectural group regarding current and future industry concepts, hardware, and software that pertains to all aspects of supporting the laboratory and other business roadmap objectives. Position provides technical information regarding current and future industry concepts, hardware, and software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
AND
  • Six (6) years' experience in Information Technology supporting Systems. OR a combination of eight (8) years' of Business, IT technical and healthcare related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems utilized in a highly technical and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with the highest levels of leadership personnel.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple activities.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing and administering highly complex IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills
