Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will of course be considered.Keep reading to learn more about this opportunity to join the Cox family of businesses.Senior Data EngineerThe Senior Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the Enterprise Platform Business Intelligence team through the lifecycle of multiple large-scale shared services projects, including, but not limited to Human Capital Management, Supply Chain, and Fleet. This role will drive a solution approach to development of consistent and standardized Business Intelligence tools for the business. The role will help to enforce standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise to consistently address the Business Intelligence needs for the company’s Human Capital Management reporting. The Senior Data Engineer partners closely with Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, and Business Users to deliver the solutions in support of the reporting and analysis needs for the company.

Core Technology Requirements:
  • Informatica Power Center (five years) with recent hands-on experience with:
    • Informatica PowerCenter
    • Informatica Developer
    • Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
    • Analytical SQL functions and PL SQL/SQL expertise (five years) of recent hands-on experience as individual contributor
    • Python, JavaScript, UNIX shell scripting
    • Oracle Application Express (APEX)
    • Tableau
    • Data modeling
    • Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE)
    • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
    • Oracle BI Publisher, a plus
    • Experience with Oracle Managed Cloud Services / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hosted Solutions, a plus
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with BI Architects & development team to estimate levels of effort for platform changes and work with the business community to set priorities.
  • Help prepare requirements documents, functional and technical designs, test scenarios, and deployment plans related to ETL.
  • Perform gap analysis as related to ETL processes and database table structures that populate reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Construct, manage, monitor, and support data integration between several systems.
  • Learn, understand, and apply the enterprise architecture and ensure the proper use of applications, platforms, patterns, and technology stack, technologies, etc.
  • Identify architectural issues and propose alternative solutions.
  • Provide expert knowledge of Business Intelligence Solutions and Data Warehousing best practices.
  • Incorporate vision as well as practicality in developing future state designs.
  • Design/build/support/monitor/tune ETL Execution Plans.
  • Design/build/support/monitor/tune ETL and Data conversion and loads
  • Provide day-to-day production support:
    • Perform release migrations
    • Tune, troubleshoot Informatica / ODI ETL
    • Modify, create, and customize mappings, workflows, and interfaces in Informatica Power Center
    • Help solve day-to-day problems with ETL stack as users submit problem tickets
  • Escalate issues to leadership appropriately
  • Follow SDLC processes and standards.
  • Mentor team members.
< style="font-style: inherit;">Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years IT experience.
  • Minimum five years supporting ETL implementations using Informatica Power Center and IDQ
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft and Workday HCM data subject areas, preferred.
  • Data Warehousing: Kimball methodology (five years)
  • Minimum five years of experience in a complex Enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence development environment.
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development methodology.
  • Experience in application design and implementation, distributed architecture and concepts, data manipulation and analysis using PL/SQL and SQL.
  • Develop code, test plans, expected results, and test data at a program level.
  • Proven analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of deploying large scale Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence systems.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in an IT organization.
  • Possess strong architectural leadership skills, and have a demonstrated ability to produce results in a large application environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with business users, solution owners, and team members.
  • Extensive Technical Knowledge of Business Solutions & ETL Architecture/Design
  • Experience with relevant office software, including Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, Visio, and MS PowerPoint
  • Solution-minded
  • ERP/Business Intelligence Systems background
