Senior Electrical Engineer

Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support our client in Austin, TX that designs electrical systems for complex buildings. This person will be responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations for data center clients. - Master's degree- Previous leadership + people management experience- 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry- Must hold a valid Electrical P. E. license registered in TX (Plus for NV, AZ, MI, GA registrations as well)- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Science, and Mathematics - Experience designing critical power systems for data centers or other mission critical projects- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards. - Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems. - Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred- Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred - Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range objectives- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit
