Lead Business Solutions (Senior Developer/Programmer)Hybrid Position (approximately 50% in office; 50% remote) This hybrid position will be 3 days in office and two telework days. Job Description: The City of Phoenix, Street Transportation Department is seeking 1 IT & GIS Senior Developer Contractor to lead the programming team and manage the department’s IT Business Solutions, including application services, web services, and database services. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for:- working on multiple IT and GIS application development for Street Transportation Department
- managing technical staff’s workload and task assignment
- coordinating closely with the department’s IT & GIS business analyst/project manager each project through all its stages from system design and development to user testing and system implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess: - strong knowledge of backend and frontend technologies, as well as reporting tools such as: Java, J2EE, SQL Server, Spring and Hibernate Frameworks, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, XML, CSS, REST API, SSRS, BI, modern IDEs, JBoss or similar web server, and ESRI ArcGIS Web AppBuilder
- Additionally, good organization and leadership skills, customer service, and teamwork will be emphasized. Along with these critical skills, outlined below are the essential job duties and preferred qualifications:
Essential Job Duties:- Manage three programmers including their time, performance, and work assignments.
- Manage the software licenses inventory and software lifecycle replacement.
- Perform system analysis and design and propose a path to upgrade obsolete software technologies.
- Develop and maintain complex IT and GIS applications.
- Provide programming and reporting services.
- Provide software and workflow development to enhance users’ experience.
- Provide application, database, and web support.
- Provide SharePoint support including content update and creating SharePoint lists. Provide problem analysis support to diagnose and remedy problems in system software and computer application programs.
Preferred Qualifications: - 8-10 Years of supervisory experience.
- 8-10 Years of experience in applications development and programming, system analysis and design, and database support.
- ESRI ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.
- ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience working with GIS applications.
