Our Phoenix Arizona based client is seeking a contract project manager to lead a project to replace their on premise HRIS system with a cloud based SaaS solution. This engagement is expected to last approximately three years. The engagement is open only to current residents of Arizona. The position offers a hybrid work schedule that while mostly remote, does require the resource to be available for in person meetings at offices in Phoenix if needed. Skills and Experience Required- Experience in managing vendor/system integrator to assure that the requirements are met
- Project management experience coordinating efforts among areas of focus such as HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits and IT with a team composed of employees from a diverse range of agencies
- Project management experience with a large scale HRIS implementation
- Experience managing projects using Agile and hybrid methodologies
- Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Familiarity with Performance Domains, Value Delivery concepts of PMBOK Guide Version 7
- PMP certification or Arizona State Project Management Certification
- Project management experience with a large scale HRIS implementation moving from an on-premise solution to SaaS model
- Experience leading a project with the objective of standardizing HRIS processes across different organization divisions and units
- Assist System Integrator with the development, maintenance, and management of the project plan
- Assists in the management of risks and issues and escalation of these to project steering committee
- Manage changes by following the change management plan
- Leading all of the client's team efforts and elevating resource constraints/issues to project steering committee
- Setting deadlines and monitoring of deliverables
- Status reporting to project leadership
- Management of client resources to ensure and support business alignment
- Facilitate team/stakeholder interactions, meetings and communications
- Prepare and present documentation related to the project to oversight and ITAC members
- Establish positive and influential relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure the success and full compliance of all development.
- Arrange regular meetings and conferences with the vendors to make sure the timely delivery and high quality of the products and services
- Ensure that each feature complies with the specifications and requirements established in procurement documentation
- Works with the project team to develop and implement action plans that will improve project delivery
- Remove impediments for the project team
