Overview

PetSmart LLC is seeking a full-time Senior QA Engineer at our offices in Phoenix, AZ. The primary duty of the Senior QA Engineer is to develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes and to drive digital automation, build upon the current foundation, and help us to grow our Quality Assurance (QA) practice. This position is an experienced, technical leader with a passion for the digital and mobile space.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include:

1) work with Software Engineers to understand business requirements and come up with testing scenarios;

2) create and perform manual test plans and test cases and test system modifications to prepare for implementation;

3) work on large scale projects to plan for and conduct end-to-end testing across cross functional teams;

4) develop new automated test cases and enhance current test suite as new functionality is built;

5) run automated test suite and evaluate performance, functionality, and scalability;

6) collect and report data pertaining to digital reliability and performance;

7) work with development and delivery teams to enhance the testability of their code, and to analyze and resolve defects in a timely manner;

8) work with product stakeholders to identify and prioritize tests that are candidates for automation;

9) partner with Digital leadership team to develop automation strategy and execution plan;

10) collaborate with Engineering and leadership teams to ensure automated test code adheres to PetSmart standards and participate in automation strategy and optimization efforts across IS;

11) conduct manual testing whenever teams need additional assistance;

12) support production deployments and critical manual and automated smoke testing; and

13) provide guidance and mentorship to other test automation engineers.

Requirements

Tools and technologies utilized by the Senior QA Engineer include: continuous integration tool, such as Cloudbees or Jenkins; and test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit/NUnit for automating web and mobile application across multiple devices and platforms.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field and five (5) years of related, progressive, postbaccalaureate experience.

Must also have three (3) years of experience, which may be concurrent, with all of the following:

1) working on large scale projects to plan for and conduct end-to-end testing across cross functional teams;

2) developing new automated test cases and enhancing current test suite as new functionality is built;

3) working with product stakeholders to identify and prioritize tests that are candidates for automation;

4) supporting production deployments and critical manual and automated smoke testing; and

5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: continuous integration tool, such as Cloudbees or Jenkins; and test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit/NUnit for automating web and mobile application across multiple devices and platforms.
