Job Description

  • Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced understanding of aerospace QMS development, revision, and implementation.
  • Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding and guiding quality requirements in value stream mapping and process control tools.
  • Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects.
  • High level cross-functional quality support of all business needs.
  • Assist in suppler management and problem resolution.
  • Direct support for CAPA/RCCA, 8D problem solving, and cross-site corrective actions.
  • Review and advise quality requirements for specifications, drawings, and approved technical data.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Actively support COPQ, Scrap/Rework reduction & improved First Pass Yield site goals and objectives.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Have a broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.
  • Have a diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.
  • Strong computer skills including quality applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Specific quality registration schemes and certification processes experience (i.e., ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110, FAA, EASA, CAAC, NADCAP)
  • Previous work experience of problem-solving methods such as: Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate, and complete improvement projects
  • This job has limited supervisory responsibilities with respect to directing and training of other quality and associated department employees as delegated.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant business experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in Quality, QMS, or RCCA.
