Sewing Machine Operator

PART TIME / FULL TIME

We need a loyal, hard-working, dependable, and experienced person for sewing, tabling, and cutting large format custom projects from start to finish. Must work onsite in air-conditioned facility in Chandler.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE LONG TERM. WHO INTEND ON STAYING AND GROWING WITH US.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but not limited to:

·Must pass background check (company will pay fee)

· Performs sewing production tasks utilizing provided machinery and tools.

· Production of large format custom from start to finish.

· Follow established patterns and specifications, as well as create new patterns and specifications, as necessary.

· Cut fabric based on specifications.

· Sets up and performs tasks with industrial sewing machines (Juki and Consew sewing machines) and Grommet machine

· Fully understands and uses tools (rulers, weigh scales, scissors, electric scissors etc.)

· Fabricates sewing and cutting templates from sketches

· Assist with material inventory counts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred but not required: (will train)

· Working knowledge of industrial sewing machines and their maintenance

· Experience working in a cut and sew environment.

· Knowledge of sewing construction and techniques.

· Mathematical ability to measure and cut accurately.

· Proficiency in sewing heavy and stretch fabrics

· Ability to work with a variety of sewing machines and various stitch applications including Single Needle, Double Needle and Grommet machines

REQUIRED:

· Must pass a background check (company will pay fee)

· Lifting and handling elements that can weigh up to 30 pounds each.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Demonstrates good judgement and a great work ethic and integrity.

· Must have reliable transportation.

PAY: $18.25-$19/hr. depending on experience
