Title : Signal Processing Engineer

Location : Tucson, AZ

Duration : 12 Months

Job Description:
  • Participate in challenging multi-disciplinary research across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Signal Processing and missile-and-sensor-level Performance Simulations.
  • You will participate in the design, development, and integration of Radar and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) algorithms, conducting system trades/sensitivity analyses, and performance assessments tsupport our products and new business initiatives.
  • You will work with detailed high-fidelity simulations written in C/C and MATLAB tdevelop, prototype, and test radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithms and models
  • You will conduct performance trade-off and sensitivity studies for missile radar and/or EO/IR applications
  • You will participate in production and engineering lab test environments and field test environments ttest, verify, and validate radar models and signal processing algorithm requirements and performance
  • You will collaborate as a team member in all phases of missile development from program start up tlive fire test, to provide engineering expertise by participating in project design reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings tinternal department heads and external customers

Required Skill Sets:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a related STEM degree
  • With a Bachelor's degree listed above, you must have five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas (a Master's degree will satisfy 2 years of work experience and a PhD will satisfy the work experience):
  • Programming in C (preferred) or C
  • Using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
  • Using UNIX/Linux based workstations
  • Simulating physical systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance prior the start date.

Desired Skill Sets:
  • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or related STEM degree
  • Experience with missile components and systems
  • Experience with signal processing techniques
  • Experience with running and modifying simulations and performing analysis
  • Experience with radar and/or EO/IR environment models
  • Experience with hardware/software integration
  • Ability tdevelop and present technical briefings
  • Ability twork well alone or as part of a team
  • Good communication, interaction, planning and time management skills
  • Experience managing others as a technical lead, team lead or similar role involving applied system engineering and analysis and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Coursework or experience in some of the following fields: radar signal processing, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and signals & systems
  • Current DoD security clearance or SSBI
