- Guide client resources using multiple techniques to clearly define solution requirements
- Be a solution expert. Understand the logic, rules, and processes implemented to meet requirements
- Generate basic wireframes to demonstrate understanding of requirements and process flow
- Model complex business processes clearly and accurately to feed the solution backlog
- Understand the customer’s operations and always be consultative
- Work with Project Management, Product Management, Development/Test to ensure the intent of each requirement is represented in solution features
- Be ready to aid by clarifying and testing requirements when needed
- Diligently protect the integrity of requirements, how they are managed, and the iterations of change to the backlog
- Be engaged and bring energy to client sessions while remaining adaptive to their culture and terminology
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst within the context of software projects
- Business process modeling/mapping
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Experience facilitating client sessions that could include up to 30 people
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies including writing excellent user stories when required
- Understand the nuance of communications and how they’re perceived by the client
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with business applications, MS Project, and other common IT tools
- Experience working with Agile concepts
- Government project experience preferred
- Understanding of test methodologies
