Description Robert Half Management Resouces is seeking a highly experienced SOX Business Process Testing Consultant to support our client in Mesa, Arizona, on a contract basis. This role will involve working in a hybrid capacity, combining both remote work and on-site presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, with expertise in business process testing, documentation, and risk assessment.Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive testing of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with SOX requirements. Evaluate the design and effectiveness of business processes and internal controls. Identify control deficiencies and work with process owners to develop remediation plans. Document testing results, including findings, observations, and recommendations for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and workpapers to support SOX compliance efforts. Ensure that all documentation meets the standards required for internal and external audits. Conduct risk assessments to identify key areas of focus for SOX testing. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and provide insights into potential control enhancements. Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, internal audit, and external auditors, to ensure alignment on SOX compliance activities. Provide guidance and support to process owners on SOX-related matters. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.Requirements Extensive experience in SOX compliance, with a focus on business process testing and internal controls. Strong knowledge of SOX regulations, ICFR, and risk management principles. Proven ability to document and report on control testing results in a clear and organized manner. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
