Cybersecurity is an integral part of our SVB culture, and as a growing financial institution, it's vital that we all play our part in keeping customers' data secure.We're looking for a cybersecurity professional inherently driven and fascinated by the art and science of cybersecurity. As a Senior Cyber Risk Reporting Manager, you'll be lead ing the development of narratives around SVB's cyber risk posture , collaborating with subject matter experts across cybersecurity functions, in order to drive effective risk reporting and decision-making.

This critical individual contributor role within the Global Security Office (GSO) Chief of Staff organization is responsible for taking a leading role in coordinating, developing, and managing report ing presented to Senior Management and Board level Committees; overseeing and supporting metric and reporting workflow activities and deadlines; and maintaining, organizing, and gathering reporting and metric related information. You will work closely under the Director of Cybersecurity Executive Risk Reporting and the rest of GSO's Risk Reporting team to collaborate with management and business partners to identify key messages and objectives of reports. In addition, you will coordinate with subject manager experts to develop report contents, manage the review of reports and timely reporting , and support regulatory activities relating to cybersecurity metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, distributes, and manages various Senior Management and Board level reports across various GSO functions. Executes procedures to ensure all reports and supporting documents are completed accurately and within required timeframes .
  • Communicates with business units, department leaders, executive leaders, and committees to ensure proper approvals and submission of reports and supporting documents in a timely manner .

  • Plans and maintains the schedule and workflow for multiple reports. Works directly with subject matter experts to produce, contribute, review, or approve the results .
  • Partners with subject matter experts to identify, define, collect, and document metrics and associated thresholds. Provides subject matter expertise to help support the development of these metrics and methods of visualizing them .
  • Facilitates development, update, and retirement of metrics by processing metric intake requests and maintaining a metric catalog.
  • Supports enhancements to metrics and reporting activities .
  • Develops approaches to communicate information , including use of infographics.

  • Formats reports and presentation materials into established templates and style guides .
  • Supports development and maintenance of dashboards to support reporting activities.
  • Supports maintenance of reports and the associated metrics. Documents reports, metrics, approvals, and supporting documentation. Performs verifications for completeness and accuracy .
  • Assists with developing responses to regulatory requests associated with metrics and reporting .

Requirements

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering complex cybersecurity r eporting in a larger enterprise or large financial services environment
  • Ability to proactively and independently identify challenges and create solutions to these challenges
  • Exceptional communication skills - presentations, verbal, and written
  • Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools

  • Significant e xperience with developing reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Outcome focused with a positive and resilient attitude, comfortable with a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise to help collaboratively develop effective solutions
  • Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with a bias for action
  • Ability to facilitate, coordinate and elicit reporting requirements from multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience with driving complex enterprise-wide change through traditional and out-of-the-box change management processes
  • Experience developing requirements supported by market research and other forms of industry analysis

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 8 years of cybersecurity, data analytics, or similar work experience with a bachelor's degree; 6 years of work experience with an Advanced degree ( e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 4 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The Ideal candidate will have security industry certifications, such as: CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC
  • Experience in the banking industry and/or consulting in the banking industry

  • Experience supporting regulatory activities
  • Experience working across a variety of cybersecurity functions
  • Experience developing data visualizations using tools , such as : PowerBI or Tableau

\nBase Pay:$111,913.00 - $178,361.00

Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
