We're looking for a cyber professional inherently driven and fascinated by the art and science of cyber defense. Cyber Security is an integral part of our SVB culture, and as a growing financial institution, it's vital that we all play our part in keeping customers' data secure. Data Protection is a foundational pillar of SVB's security program, supporting the scale and reliability needed for the continued growth of our customer base while keeping pace with evolving security and adversarial landscapes. The Sr. Manager of Data Protection will be responsible for establishing and executing Data Protection strategy, program directives, policy development, and policy enforcement. We will arm you with the very best tools and technology so that you can deliver top notch results. As the Sr. Manager of Data Protection, you will get to work with people from a range of disciplines, and colleagues and clients at every level. Responsibilities- Own data protection roadmap s and lead cro ss-functional initiatives
- Help b uild and manage a highly effective Data Protection program, ensuring adoption of security policies and procedures
- Develop and report key metrics for executive leadership
- Build a team of Data Protection product owners/managers
- Lead organizing and mentoring junior and intermediate level team members
- Collaborate with the leadership team, and other key stakeholders to track, analyze and report our performance against established OKRs
- Oversee operational adherence to control frameworks, drive response to audit requests
- Define requirements for Professional Services and manage them from contract to completeness of execution
- Proven product management track record of developing and delivering complex initiatives in a large enterprise or large financial environment
- Exceptional communication skills - presentations, verbal, and written
- Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with a bias for action
- Strategy development experience, including using market research and outside-in analysis to formulate future state
- Experience with driving complex enterprise-wide change
- Outcome focused with an positive and resilient attitude, comfortable with a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military and/or professional experience
- 10+ years hands-on experience in program or product management
- Analytical thinker with excellent abstract problem-solving skills, able to balance strategic plans with short-term tactical actions and iterative improvements
- Understanding of data protection technologies, to include: DLP, data encryption, CASB, O365, Data masking,
- Ability to plan execution of strategy between multiple organizations to deliver on commitments
- Master's degree
- Experience with published standards, guidance, best practices, profiles, and frameworks related to cyber security and practical implementation in an enterprise (NIST, ISO, SANS CIS Critical Security Controls)
- Understanding of cybersecurity domain topics such as data encryption, network architecture, vulnerability management, access controls, logging and monitoring, etc.
- Certifications in one or more of the following: CIPP, CISSP, CPDSE, CIPT, Agile/Scrum Master
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud Platform
