We're looking for a cyber professional inherently driven and fascinated by the art and science of cyber defense. We will arm you with the very best tools and tech so that you can deliver top notch results. As part of the Network Security team , the Sr Network Security Engineer , is responsible for the network-based controls in our multi-cloud and on premises environments. These controls include cloud native elements, virtual and physical appliances, and SaaS offerings. Responsibilities- Responsible in analysis, design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and on-call support of these network security c ontrols.
- Manage the code used to deploy SVB network infrastructure and automating functions in the cloud and on premises environments via Terraform, Ansible, or other automation platforms.
- The environment includes: Zscaler Proxy, Palo Alto Firewalls, Automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), SIEM (Splunk), and firewall policy management platforms
- Support and implement Network Security Strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunity to enhance the operational processes , procedure, and standards
- Create and update documentations for processes, procedure, and standards
- Proven track record of developing and delivering complex security operation support in a larger enterprise or large financial environment
- Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with a bias for action
- Exceptional communication skills - presentations, verbal, and written
- Experience with driving complex enterprise-wide change through traditional and out-of-the-box change management processes
- Outcome focused with an extremely positive and resilient attitude, comfortable with a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
- Has functional working experience and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Has senior / advanced level experience with building, operating, and supporting Zscaler Proxy
- Has senior / advanced level experience with building, operating, and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls
- Has senior / advanced level troubleshooting ability and understanding of enterprise level network concepts and fundamentals
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or Engineering
- 5-7 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or a m inimum of 1 0 years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing large enterprise class applications with increasing responsibilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security operation services for large enterprise
- The Ideal candidate is a continual learner, a self-starter, has a strong work ethic and a healthy attitude of cooperation and collaboration.
- Ideal candidate will also have one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, AWS Certifications
- Expertise in securing the integration of multiple environments across on-premises , multi-cloud, and hybrid architectures. Strong understanding of application and network security.
- Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control, and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies
- Has functional working experience with Terraform, or a programming language like Python
