Portal Product Manager

Location: Remote

Job Type: W2 Contract-to-hire

Compensation: $40-55 hourly W2

Key Responsibilities:

My client is seeking an experienced, passionate, talented, and adaptable Agile Product Manager to evolve and deliver the Customer Portal Vision. In this role, you will define strategy and priorities by collaborating with the internal stakeholders and analyzing their customer data from multiple sources to buildout their roadmap and backlog. Partnering with teams such as Engineering, Vendor Partners, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Analytics, you will deliver value that directly influences the success of the company. You have a true passion for solving challenging problems by leveraging technology to build user-centric solutions and driving innovation. Key Responsibilities As a Product Owner you will be accountable for-

  • Developing the Portal product roadmaps, based on the vision, strategy and goals that you will contribute to forming
  • Owning key stakeholder relationships across Engineering, Vendor Partners, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Analytics
  • Owning & contributing to product discovery by forming hypotheses, defining objectives and key results, and assessing options that will provide best outcomes
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to define scalable solutions that meet current and future product needs
  • Creating & maintaining a rich feature backlog, defining scope, and prioritizing those features and user stories that maximize value for Progress and its customers and delivering against the product strategy and goals
  • Delivering throughout the lifecycle of the product by leading sprint planning ceremonies and product release plans, creating clear sprint/increment goals, and managing the delivery of those features through the development lifecycle
  • Identifying areas of opportunity to reduce friction, and increase automation and approval rates, to provide better streamlined experiences via product enhancements
  • Improving efficiency, scale, and time-to-market with new features by leveraging and enhancing our global platform architecture by building strong partnerships with engineering and other stakeholder teams.
  • Track and report key metrics to drive future product developments
  • Measure success of your products via aligned OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and KPIs that matter (not vanity metrics)

We are looking for

  • Previous Product Management experience with Agile development, working directly with scrum teams.
  • Highly organized individual who is detail oriented with a proven ability to manage and execute against multiple workstreams to solve complex problems
  • Assertive person with strong communication and collaboration skills. Should be able to simplify complex ideas, navigate cross-functional teams & build relationships, influence decisions, and deliver on shared objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to define the problem, analyze the data and processes to identify creative solutions and drive incremental improvement
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Curious, driven and diligent problem solver with a willingness to learn, challenge the status quo and collaborate to make an impact
  • A Test and Learn Mindset

Educational qualifications

  • Advanced degree is preferred but not required given a suitable combination of formal education and experience
  • CS degree related technical field is ideal
  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner focused on digital experiences
  • Agile experience is strongly preferred

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Ability to solve complex problems by breaking down to manageable phases
  • Good blend of analytical skills, technical knowledge, process expertise, project management and relationship building skills
  • A curious mind providing thought leadership and innovative digital solutions
  • Independent self-starter that thrives in unambiguous, constantly changing, high pressure environments
  • Clear, effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.

  • Have the ability to write clear and effective user stories
  • Have previous experience with any of Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Fullstory
  • Are familiar with Jira, Confluence, Asana and Sharepoint
  • Have a mobile first mindset and are passionate about user journeys
  • Have a Product Owner certification and/or are a certified Scrum Master
