Sr. Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer will manage requirement definition, validation and verification with the support

of internal and external stakeholders.

The Systems Engineer will support in the identification and implementation of the latest systems

processes, standards and tools as well as mentoring and training the engineering community.

This role is based in Prescott, Arizona.

As a Systems Engineer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, software, electrical engineering or equivalent appropriate

experience

Demonstrated experience working in a Systems Engineering role, with it being desirable that the

experience was gained within the Aerospace or Military Industry

Proven experience of planning, leading and executing systems architectures and requirements

Deep understanding or ARP4754 & 4761

Direct experience generating and executing test plans and cases for DO-160 Environmental

and/or MIL-STD810/461 testing

Strong systems modelling experience (to common processes like IEC15288, IEC42010, RTCA DO-

178C, DO-254), with expertise using MBSE processes, the SysML modelling language, and tools (e.g. Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, and or CAMEO)

Experience using SCADE with Matlab SIMULINK and Python being highly desirable

Experience using requirements capture tools (e.g. CRADLE, DOORS NG, JAMA)

Experience in developing capability based systems as well as enterprise product based systems is desirable

Proven experience of interfacing with internal and external customers to negotiate, capture, and validate system requirements and architectures

Experience with airborne navigation, communication and audio systems a plus

As a Systems Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:

Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes (eg. INCOSE standards) and techniques to develop system architectures that meet stakeholder needs

Develop Operational Concepts (OpsCon) and requirements that take account of new capabilities business wishes to embed into current and future systems

Development and analysis of use cases to support in the creation and development of requirements

Identify and derive system requirements, taking inputs from OpsCon, use cases, internal and external stakeholders, standards and legislation.

Generation of system & sub-system architectures and the decomposition of requirements into sub systems and LRUs.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to validate requirements and the architectural solutions.

Work with engineering stakeholders to verify requirements and develop a complaint solution.

Plan and resource budget systems engineering activities.

Produce technical reports and Systems Requirements Management Plans, Systems Safety

Analysis and related reports

Support & Lead the formulation of agile Model Based Systems Engineering processes and implement into the business, providing MBSE, SysML best practice and lessons learnt whilst supporting other functions in using MBSE processes.
