Inspired by them, we are redefining Banking.The Enterprise Data Office serves as a first line of defense control function providing standards and guidance across the bank. The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for preparing and maintaining documentation of data policies, standards, and risk management, translating complex regulations into digestible information. The Senior Technical Writer will work closely with the Compliance, Risk, Privacy & Security offices for alignment, ensuring documentation complies with appropriate guidelines, laws and regulation, including but not limited to: regulatory compliance, risk management best-practices, industry standards, and SVB methodology.This role plans, writes and maintains technical requirements, communicating early on to key stakeholders, including Product and Technology teams across the organization. This position must be familiar with key data concepts, practices, and procedures, applying a wide degree of creativity to translate technical and procedural specifications.This important role requires strategic thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills. The role further requires the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment, working well under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and deadlines. The person in this role should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated to drive the creation and adoption of key data policies. Knowledge:- Data concepts i.e. Data Governance, Master Data Management, Cloud, Cataloging, Agile
- Federal Banking Regulations
- Familiarity with various Technical Writing Styles and Documentation
- Understands or knows how to build knowledge in global banking and financial services
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position
- Strong communication and interpersonal
- Proficient command of English
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to sequence client support into logical, manageable work packages, tasks, and sub-tasks for execution
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Strong relationship management skills across levels and role types
- Ability to influence and collaborate with different levels and functions across the organization
- Understands and applies change management principles to ensure successful adoption of published work
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Technical Writing experience
- 2+ years of business process documentation experience
- Experience in Finance or Data
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean certification preferred
