- Counsels employees on efficient routes, lowest available rates and ensures compliance with all Company travel policies when booking travel reservations.
- Provides superior customer service and timely travel reservations through the effective and efficient use of SABRE.
- Processes ticket exchanges, refunds and voids for travelers.
- Manages all non-refundable airline tickets to ensure use of all credits. Prepares weekly report and uploads to SABRE scripts and Concur Travel for use.
- Addresses all employee inquiries and/or complaints in a timely manner.
- Arranges off-site meetings and tracks savings. Coordinates group air and hotel requirements for corporate events.
- Assists with managing and monitoring the Company's performance relating to existing airline, hotel and car contracts.
- Assists with monitoring and ensures compliance with Company travel policies in all corporate travel and assists with preparing monthly policy exception reports to senior leadership.
- Assists with continuously monitoring corporate travel for areas of cost saving opportunities.
- Assists with annual preferred hotel RFP (request for proposal).
- Continuously audits and reviews department processes and procedures and develops improvements.
- Assists with the monthly travel card expense report submission.
- Provides Concur Travel training to users as needed.
- Provides leadership and guidance to travel counselors.
- Assists with special projects assigned by management.
- This position requires a minimum of ten years of travel industry experience.
- Excellent international and domestic geographical knowledge is essential.
- Proficient knowledge of native SABRE is a must. Concur Travel administration knowledge is preferred.
- Intermediate level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.Experience with Powerpoint is preferred.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Strong problem solving, organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven excellent customer servicing skills with high-profile customers.
- Consistently meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and working well independently is essential.
- In addition, organizational and problem solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
