Description We are offering a contract for a Staff Accountant position in Chandler, Arizona. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various accounting activities such as account analysis and the month-end close. Your job will require strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Accurate processing of daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries and program allocations. Conduct daily cash reconciliations and assist with cash-flow monitoring, including necessary transfers. Assist with semi-monthly bond project fund requests and reconciliations. Be responsible for the month-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis. Monitor accrued payroll reconciliations and accrued liabilities. Track prepaid expenses, federal and state grant revenue, and bond fees payable and related expenses. Assist with the analysis of purchases for capitalization and entry into fixed asset software. Contribute to merchant account management. Propose solutions for automation and process improvements while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness. Update and maintain policies and procedures documentation. Assist in reviewing the work performed by the Accounting Specialists. Requirements Possess strong knowledge and proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations Proficient in maintaining and managing General Ledger Capable of preparing and adjusting Journal Entries Experienced in executing Month End Close procedures Proficient user of NetSuite financial software Familiarity with Oracle financial software system Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software Familiarity with SAP financial software system Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
