Travel: 5% Background Check Required. The Testing Equity Coordinator must be able to commute to an office located in Phoenix, Arizona at least 3 days per week, with flexibility to telework 2 days per week. This role cannot be performed on a fully remote basis.

osition Description:The Testing Equity Coordinator will strive to meet the objectives and goals of this funding that are focused on providing support to people experiencing homelessness service sites, encampments, and possibly other congregate living facilities for the detection and mitigation of COVID-19. This position will help with the coordination, management, technical assistance, monitoring, and data collection and reporting activities. A primary focus of the Testing Equity Coordinator will be working with partners to assess the needs for testing and facilitate timely resources through current testing vendors, website resources, and guidance. Other applicable response-related duties as assigned. The Testing Equity Coordinator will concentrate their efforts to collaborate with qualifying entities throughout Arizona

to promote, assist, and fund COVID-19 screening and diagnostic testing programs. The Testing Equity Coordinator will work with our current state-identified testing vendors to promote and respond to needed screening and testing efforts in Arizona. With COVID-19 and other illnesses, the importance of cleaning and disinfection is key to reducing the risk of infection. The basic and reliable way to prevent infection from surfaces is to regularly wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Due to this, the Testing Equity Coordinator will work to assess the feasibility of

procuring through a contracted entity or direct purchase for hygiene, cleaning, and sanitizing supplies to assist the homeless and possibly other confinement facilities. The Testing Equity Coordinator will work on various projects in collaboration with team members within the Office of Health Equity to support the agency operationalize and infuse health equity best practices and to work with communities to reduce health disparities and inequities.

Skills Required Knowledge Of:
  • Health Equity practice, theory, and competencies, access to care and systems of care.
  • Program planning and implementation targeting rural, Tribal, medically underserved communities, local and statewide health and human service agencies and organizations.
Skill In
  • Leadership engagement in public health, health and across social service sectors to address health equity issues and social determinants of health.
  • Strength in written and oral communication, planning and problem solving/resolution, organization, detail-orientation, and priority setting skills.
  • Data collection and analysis.
  • Google Suite.
Ability To
  • Work independently and in team/group settings, conduct basic research, multi-task and adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines on short time frames, prepare and deliver formal and informal presentations, and respond to high volume workload and technical assistance requests.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders and lead discussions about health equity.
  • Work independently.

Skills Preferred Bilingual (Spanish or American Sign Language)

Experience RequiredTwo years of professional experience related to public health, health programs, social work, or other closely related fields which included program planning or administration.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree required.

Education Preferred
  • Master's degree preferred in public health, social work, or other closely related work and may substitute for one year of required experience. Arizona Licensed Certified Social Worker, Certification in Health Equity or Certified Health Education Specialist preferred.
