AECOM is seeking a Transportation /Transit Planner with minimum two years experience to join their team that will support ongoing projects throughout the US West Region of North America. This position will be located in Phoenix, AZ.The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a larger project team. Expected assignments will include but not be limited to corridor studies, sub-regional planning efforts, alternatives analysis, and NEPA tasks for clients such as transit agencies and departments of transportation across the United States. Multiple positions available across the region. Potential tasks include:Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, transit network, crash records, ridership, and asset inventories.Analyzes data and prepares detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.Conducts concept level evaluation of transportation improvement options.Documents and presents findings on transportation planning projects.Researches current transportation related topics at local, State, and Federal levels.Researches project options and documents findings.Supports public outreach activities.Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers. This position will involve planning and project development activities for transportation projects under supervision of more senior staff
