The trauma registrar will be a self-motivated individual with attention to detail who prides themselves on excelling at the job: ensures consistency and quality in the trauma database. This position requires both AIS and ICD-10 injury coding. Works closely with the Trauma Registry Supervisor and Trauma Program Manager.Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. Required onsite attendance a minimum of once per month.QualificationsMinimum:

Three + years experience in a medical setting.

Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and data abstraction/entry.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, including anatomy and physiology.

High School Diploma/GED.

Microsoft applications.

Preferred:

Emergency Department, trauma, or surgical experience.

One year Trauma Registry, AIS injury coding.

ICD-10 coding, data entry in a medical setting.

Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS).

Certified Specialist Trauma Registry (CSTR).

Associates degree.
