Yard Dog Driver at Scrap Metal Yard

Join our team at a busy and growing metal scrap company as a Yard Dog Driver in Phoenix, AZ. We are looking for a responsible and safety-focused driver who can assist with container movement and loading operations within our yard.

[Key Responsibilities]

Move and spot containers/trailers within the yard

Align trailers precisely with the automated container loading machine

Collaborate closely with the operator to ensure smooth and safe container loading

Monitor basic axle weight distribution and ensure compliance (training provided)

Perform basic safety checks on equipment before operation

Follow all yard safety procedures and protocols

[Qualifications]

Container moving experience highly preferred

Familiarity with axle weight limits or willingness to learn

Team player with good communication skills

Training provided for all equipment – experience is a strong advantage

Bilingual (English & Español )

CDL NOT REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
