Description We are offering an opportunity for a seasoned General Counsel level attorney to join our client's team in Central Phoenix. This role is within the Commercial Real Estate industry and will require expertise in public company securities law AND investment management. This divisional GC position is situated within an office environment, but may offer some flexibility for occasional remote work. Total compensation of around $800K. Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel on matters related to public company securities law, including the 1934 Act and 1940 Act Prepare and review NASDAQ filings to ensure compliance Oversee corporate transactions and governance activities Utilize knowledge of commercial real estate industry for legal matters Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Implement and oversee auditing procedures Administer claim administration processes Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts Manage and maintain accurate documentation related to all legal activities Utilize understanding of securities law for business systems and strategies.Please note that relocation to Phoenix may be necessary for this role. The role does not involve overseeing a team. You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and the Chairman. Requirements Must have a minimum of 10 years experience as in-house counsel in a public company setting or as an attorney in private practice with a focus on securities law and investment management Possess exceptional knowledge and experience in commercial contracts and auditing Strong communication and documentation skills are necessary Must have a strong understanding and practical experience in securities law Should be able to work autonomously and be comfortable with making high-level decisions and reporting to the CLO and Board Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders Must have a high level of integrity and professional accountability.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
